Talamanca
Talamanca is a little village with stoned build streets. The village spreads on top of a little hill of Serra de Rossinyol, just above the road that takes from Navarcles to Terrassa. Its location at 552 m of altitude gives the village the privilege of having small singular corners and good views from everywhere.
In the historical center we can find the castle of Talamanca and the church of Santa Maria. First news about the castle date from the year 965, and the church was build in the 12th century. Walking along the village it is worth spending a while admiring the stoned walled houses build between 1621 and 1861, whith its lintels of stone and tiled covers.
The centre of Talamanca is surrounded by farmhouses, some of them documented from the 10th century. There is also an impressive set of vats called The seven Vats from the 19th C., that stand out for their singularity and good state of conservation; as well as a waterwheel near the stream of Talamanca, close to El Molí del Menut.
Mura
Mura First notice about Mura comes from the year 959. Mura is a pleasant little village known for its mediaeval charm with streets and squares that were build around the Romanesque church of St. Martí. At 454 m of altitude, right in the middle of the Natural Park of St. Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac, Mura is surrounded by ridges, torrents, pools, caves, fountains and caves that are worth discovering by following any of the numerous paths and walks.
Apart from pretty squares and picturesque narrow streets with typical stone walled houses, we can point out the street of Camil Antonietti, the church of Sant Martí, a floury mill, and the hermitage of St. Antoni.
The village is surrounded by very ancient farmhouses that have been nicely restored. Some if these farmhouses were build in the caves, like El Puig de la Balma, and we can also find constructions of dry stone like the shacks of vineyard or the curious vats in the middle of the vineyard.
Sant Fruitós del Bages
Sant Fruitós de Bages lays in the middle of the Central Catalonia, on the right side of the Llobregat river. It was first time documented at the first half of the 10th century and it has an extension of 22,14 km2. The village is the result of the aggregation of different parishes: Olzinelles, Vall dels Horts, Sant Iscle, Sant Fruitós de Bages and Santa Maria de Claret. It is worth walking along the village to enjoy its mediaeval character, paying special attention to the church of St. Fruitós de Bages, and appreciating the combination of its modern and industrial atmosphere.
